Our Pastors & Staff

Our church is blessed with a remarkable Pastoral staff who love the Lord and live it each day with their faithful and caring ministry to our church family. Take time to meet them and hear about their willingness to serve God here in the Baker City community.

Pastor Troy Teeter

Lead Pastor

In January 2018, Pastor Troy Teeter accepted the call to be our senior pastor. Pastor Troy and his wife Kim are both originally from New Mexico. He is from Albuquerque, and Kim from Clovis. They have been married since 1993, and have 3 young adult children, Ashlee, Nathan, and Haylee.

Troy graduated from Point Loma Nazarene College (now University) in 1994 as a Biblical Studies major. In May 2017, he graduated from Northwest Nazarene University with an Masters Degree in Missional Leadership.  Troy, Kim and their family were previously serving as associate Pastors of Youth and Family in Aurora, Colorado for the past 11 1/2 years.  He has been in full-time ministry for 30 years and in addition to Colorado he has served in pastoral roles in Arizona, Kansas, Indiana, and Texas.

Pastor Troy loves to learn, enjoys technology, enjoys watching sports and movies, and taking walks with Kim. Kim loves to work with children, and was a librarian in the neighborhood elementary school in Colorado.

Pastor Lennie Spooner

Associate Pastor

Pastor Lennie was born a raised in Kalispell, Montana. He accepted Jesus as his savior at the age of 14, at a city-wide revival. After graduating High School in 1974, he attended Northwest Nazarene College where he met his lovely wife, Betty. They were married in 1979 and have raised 3 children- Sally, Barry, and Blair. They each have a few children, giving Lennie and Betty 10 grandchildren! He has been in full-time Pastoral Service for 38 years including Lewiston, Idaho; Kalispell, Montana; and Baker City, Oregon (for 36 years). He enjoys bird dogs, hunting, fishing, guitar playing and people-ministry!

Pastor Josh Snook

Youth Pastor

Pastor Josh was born and raised north of Boston. He received the call to ministry at the age of 11 and later received to call to youth specifically. He went to Mount Vernon Nazarene University and graduated in April of 2022 with a Christian Ministry degree with a focus on Youth and Family. July of the same year he moved across the country to accept the position to be our youth pastor. In his free time Josh enjoys walks with his dog Benny, any kind of sports, but especially all Boston sports, and playing video games.

Deidra Richards

Children's Director

Deidra and her husband Glen moved their family to Baker in the late spring of 2009. It was a new experience thought of and led by God, and He has been blessing us ever since. Glen and Deidra have been married for 17 years, and have 3 children: Cole, 15, Andy, 12, and Molly, 9. Deidra's passion is raising Godly children, following Jesus, and encouraging moms through the joys and struggles of motherhood. In her spare time (or some day soon), she enjoys crafting, baking, traveling, and planning parties.

Barb France

Discipleship Pastor

Pastor Barb and her husband Jon moved to Baker City Spring 2023 to be closer to family. She was raised in a Godly home and was a lay minister for 35 years before answering the Call to enter full-time vocational ministry. Barb was ordained in 2021 and previously served at the Susanville Church of the Nazarene in Susanville, CA. Her passion is discipleship especially to young adults and teens. Barb and Jon have three adult daughters, two sons-in-laws, three granddaughters, one grandson and a dozen or more “Heart” children who call them mom & dad or Gigi & PopPop. In her free time, Barb loves to knit, crochet, and read. Her new hobby is house plants. Originally from Illinois, she loves all Illinois sports team especially the Chicago Cubs!
