Bridges: Engaging Relationships in Sunday School and Small Groups

Join us for the 2020 Intermountain Discipleship Tour, Bridges: Engaging Relationships in Sunday School and Small Groups. We hope that you will attend and bring your small group and/or Sunday School class with you, as we learn how to better “build discipleship relationships” and “encourage one another in our walk with Christ.”

Our Goal: We want to invite both leaders and their groups to attend.

This tour will help us see the roles that both leaders and attendees play in making a successful, relationally engaging Sunday School class or small group. It is our hope that groups will leave with a better idea of how they can connect both inside and outside their specific group meeting time.􏰖􏰹􏰎􏰕􏰏 􏰗􏰐􏰎􏰰􏰕􏰑􏰕􏰰 􏰟􏰏􏰘􏰤􏰐 􏰦􏰎􏰎􏰖􏰕􏰯􏰟 􏰖􏰕􏰦􏰎􏰣

New Women’s Bible Study

It’s not about you. (And what a relief.)

It’s easy to get frustrated with the local church—we see the people in the pews up close, both their beauty and blemishes. But God has a purpose and a plan that He uniquely accomplishes in and through the church, and He wants you to be a part of it.

In the opening 3 chapters of Revelation, we find a wake-up call directed toward 7 churches and discover the truth of God’s desire for the church. Over 9 sessions, challenge your perspective and embrace your part in helping the church fulfill its calling.

WHEN:  Wednesdays from 1:30-3:30pm – Starting January 15th

WHO: All ladies are invited

COST: $14 for the study guide – contact the church office to order a copy.

Holy Living – A new 7-week Bible Study

God has commanded us in His Word that we are to be holy as He is holy (1 Peter 1:16). However, is this really possible? What does it mean to live a holy life? Is holiness onlyreasonable for those who have it all together or never make a mistake?

Holy Living: What It Means to Be Like Christ examines what it truly means to live a Christlike life. Each chapter will help you discover that holiness is more about surrender than being perfect—it’s about obedience rather than religious performance.

  • Session 1: What is Holiness?
  • Session 2: Misconceptions
  • Session 3: Growth in Grace
  • Session 4: Servanthood/Generosity
  • Session 5: Temptation/Sin/Confession
  • Session 6: Living a Life of Integrity
  • Session 7: Holy Companions

This DIALOG SERIES offers topical and biblical studies that seek to generate meaningful conversation. Join us for this 7-week study beginning January 15th. So let’s talk.

Wednesday Nights, from 6:30-7:30p, starting January 15th. If you would like an optional study guide, the cost is $10 and you will need to register by December 29th.

New Sermon Series: No More Spectators

Join us in January 2020 as we begin the new year.

As a member of the body of Christ, every Christian has a part to play. God has uniquely gifted everyone of you. He desires you to use those gifts in meaningful service in His church, in His Kingdom. I Corinthians 12:27 says, “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” Our talents and gifts vary, and we are most effective doing what we’re good at — what God has blessed us with. Many of us already have a feel for what our gifts are. We merely need to know where our gifts are needed. Others of us want to make sure we are serving where God would have us, and are looking for ways to confirm what our spiritual gifts are. Throughout this  series  we will take a closer look at how you can utilize your gifts to help advance God’s purposes in this world.

New Series in October: The Good Work

Each one of us has a good work to do. We may not see it yet, but it’s often right there in front of our eyes. For Nehemiah, it was a crumbled wall. For you, it could be an injustice in the world, or a need you see what no one else does. During this series, we will learn how Nehemiah responded to his own calling and learn how we can change our own world just by leaning into the unique calling that God has put in front of each of us.

October 6: When You Can’t Take It Anymore

October 13: Do the Work. Make a Difference

October 20: Standing Strong in the Face of Opposition

October 27: Shut the Door on Distractions

A Women’s Bible Study is coming in October. Our study will be on Christine Caine’s book, Unashamed. In this 5-session DVD Study, Unashamed, Christine Caine helps readers find freedom from believing they are fundamentally flawed and unworthy of acceptance and prepares them to step into their future – confident, dearly loved, created for a divine purpose.

We will start on Wednesday, October 9th at 1:30pm – 3:30pm. It is a five week study. Books are $10 and study guides are $6. Please mark your communicator card that you would like a book or study guide or both. Please see Kim Teeter or drop by the church office with your payment.

Sermon Series: Who Do You Think You Are?

Who Do You Think you Are?

How do you see yourself? A masterpiece or a mess? Survivor or struggler? Advocate or critic? It’s an important question that many of us probably get wrong, or at least under state. Getting the right perspective on how God sees you might give you a new view of yourself.

Join us in September for this new series and let’s grab hold of who God says we are.
