Join us for the 2020 Intermountain Discipleship Tour, Bridges: Engaging Relationships in Sunday School and Small Groups. We hope that you will attend and bring your small group and/or Sunday School class with you, as we learn how to better “build discipleship relationships” and “encourage one another in our walk with Christ.”
Our Goal: We want to invite both leaders and their groups to attend.
This tour will help us see the roles that both leaders and attendees play in making a successful, relationally engaging Sunday School class or small group. It is our hope that groups will leave with a better idea of how they can connect both inside and outside their specific group meeting time.
When: February 21st 6:00pm (Dinner is included.)
We ask that those planning to attend from Baker Naz contact the church office to let us know by February 2nd. If you do we’ll cover your registration cost (otherwise it’s $15 per person).
Childcare is available for those that pre-register (by February 2nd) with the church office.
What is Love and Respect?
We believe love best motivates a woman and respect most powerfully motivates a man. Research reveals that during marital conflict a husband most often reacts unlovingly when feeling disrespected, and a wife reacts disrespectfully when feeling unloved. We asked 7,000 people the question, “When you are in a conflict with your spouse or significant other, do you feel unloved or disrespected?” 83% of the men said “disrespected” and 72% of the women said “unloved.” Though we all need love and respect equally, the felt need differs during conflict, and this difference is as different as pink is from blue!
Join us for this 10-week study on Wednesday nights starting June 5th from 6-7:30pm. It will be a great time together in study, discussion and fellowship. You haven’t been married too little or too long to benefit from this material. Childcare is provided.
Cost is only $10 for a workbook, but we ask that you sign up in the church office by phone or sign up below by May 19th to make sure that we have enough resources.
