Looking Back

If you are new to our church family then these ‘Looking Back’ archives will give you a better understanding of the types of community outreach events, family-fun socials and ministry services we have done in the last few years.

We enjoy being together and helping others in our community.

2015

On a cool November day and very cold December day our church body helped split, load and deliver 31 loads of firewood to our neighbors in Baker County. As a sponsored event with the Northeast Oregon Compassionate Center, it helped many familis stay warm this winter.

Trap shooting is fun, but Trap Shooting with friends from church is even better. On a Saturday afternoon, a group from church headed out for some friendly competition. We had a combination of avid sportsmen and some in need of a refresher course. Even 6 year old Andy got to shoot a few. After a few shots to warm up and the game was on. First place for the woman’s went to Betty Spooner, second Deidra Richards, and Sheralee Bell got third. For the men, first place was Pastor Lennie Spooner, and second was Tom Van Diepen. A shoot off between Dan Garrick and Grant Ermovick determined third place. With the fastest double shot, Grant was the winner. Another round of targets and two rounds of ‘Annie Oakley’ finished off the day’s competition. The battle wounds (bruises and soreness) were well worth it. It was a good day.
